Dawn In The Desert

Arid heat is vastly different than our inshore warmth-

So I’m told.

Scratching through the deeper south, oppressiveness abides-
Summoning additional weight to an already unbearable existence.

Oblivious until tomorrow, when you feel a lacking effect-
Heaviness, off west, abandons you without consideration or thought.

Amongst the dust, gullies, and ancestorial painted monuments-
I beg you to leave me in kind, fostered by these russet lands.
