Jennifer Jones
Jennifer Jones, in no particular order, is a nerd, scientist,…
The best nights are Moonless.
Under dark skies dappled with crystalline light
I unfurl. Smoky wings safe
from lunar acid burning away the obsidian wisps.
I fly,
invisible,
in the jewel box around me.
Without the aid of that nosy glowing orb,
no ravenous eyes catch me.
No gaze drags me to open maws
ready to suck jet marrow from hallow bones.
The best nights are Moonless.
