You sweated scared, or ready. Tenements forgotten, blue

Christine Davis is a writer, poet, and artist, formerly from Concord, NC, now living on the English Channel. The driving force behind her poetry and art is an enduring interest in the mystical nature of the natural world and a belief that the spiritual can be found in everyday life. Her poetry and prose have been published in Moonstone Arts Center’s anthologies, Quillkeepers anthology, Kakalak, and Stardust Review, among other publications. Her debut poetry collection, Life and Death and Holy in Every Breath, Wild Rising Press, 2024, features poems and original watercolors inspired by her personal experiences with nature, death and dying, spirituality, social justice, and compassionate living. Christine is a Fulbright Scholar and emeritus professor and is completing her memoir about her experience living in Ireland, researching the Magdalene Laundries, and searching for her ancestors. Christine likes to play with form and especially loves creating sonnets and ghazals.
