‘Cerise Whispers’ and ‘Happy Days’ are mixed media works on canvas. The backgrounds are jeli prints made with acrylic paint on newsprint. I believe this process of mark making on newsprint adds layers to existing stories. Collage elements, found images and acrylic on newsprint were added to create the blooms and foliage.
