These pieces were inspired by the sights and sounds of the spring landscape of New South Wales, where I live. All three paintings are 6″x6″ and have been made on canvas grain paper with acrylics, gouache, distress inks, brush pens, and printed paper bits. They are part of an evolving series that I am working on currently.

Oormila Vijayakrishnan Prahlad (she/her) is an Indian-Australian artist and poet, who serves as a chief editor for Authora Australis. Her recent artworks have been featured in West Trestle Review, The Honeyguide Literary, and Oyster River Pages, and on the covers of The Amsterdam Quarterly, Pithead Chapel, The Rat’s Ass Review, and elsewhere. She is a Pushcart Prize and multiple Best of the Net nominee. She lives and works in Sydney on the land of the Ku-ring-gai People of The Eora Nation.
