Open Call Announcement + Our June Favorites
Open Call Announcement + Our June Favorites
New season, new submissions! To celebrate the summer solstice we’re opening submissions for all mediums under the theme Nautical:
We want all your work maritime, oceanic, and seafaring. We want to hear about marine life, the ancestry of sea navigation, the mythos of seagoing people and aquatic mysteries of the deep. We want your coastal lullabies and the art you’ve strung together from the treasures you picked along the seashore.
We accept poetry, creative writing, art, photography, columns, essays, music, and essentially any other form of human creativity. You can learn more & submit your work via the submissions form once the open call has begun on our Submissions page.
To kick off our open call, we thought we’d share a few of our nautical favorites to help you get inspired (including a few pieces published right here on The Hyacinth Review!)
Submissions will open for all mediums on June 21st and will close on July 1st. We look forward to seeing your amazing work!
P.S. – Our newsletter subscribers receive early access to submissions, so be sure to sign up!
