stay well
make out
of menacing friends
and savage lovers
bouquets
in countless hues
all blossoming
sweet the soft-scented
seasons of you
sing of broken beauty
keep it simple
dance toward
your tethered end
a quiet noise
below the skin
to wake
the pleasant pain
now slumbering
It will one day echo
like whole notes
a tarnished tune
unforgivingly endless
the steel drums
of pallid petals
your autumn’s last dew
just remember
when all else fades
to follow the one-eyed
falling star
when you find yourself
weeding woes,
behind the chattering
hedgerow of days
and yearn like a child
for home again
