December: Our Winter Favorites

As the year comes to a close and the holidays near, another special occasion is upon us – the second anniversary of The Hyacinth Review!

When we founded this humanities journal it started off as a way for us to put our own work out into the world in a more formal way, but it quickly blossomed into something more.

Since our launch in December 2021, we’ve been listed as an official publication on both Duotrope and the Community of Literary Magazines & Presses, interviewed some amazing people, gained thousands (!!!) of monthly readers, and received several thousand submissions. From poetry to creative writing, essays to art, we’ve been immensely proud of every piece we feature on our site (559 pieces to be exact!) and we look forward to many years to come.

In the near future you can expect to see much more of The Hyacinth Review – but we won’t spoil the surprise just yet!

We want to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for your support – whether you’re a reader, creator, or donor, we feel so fortunate to have created a publication supported by so many wonderful individuals.

And now, as usual, here are a few of our favorite things for the winter season…
