Today, a brand new word crossed my path. ‘Apricate’ – to bask in the warmth of the sun upon your back. I choose to imagine nomenclature’s gods twining it with apricots at the root. They give us permission to hold summer in our blue fruit bowl, to take honeyed comfort from the way these tiny globes blush luminous with August love; catch the evening light and seem to glow.
